A well designed Fascia Soffit and Gutter System will allow the best possible ventilation (see warning below) of your roof void and help keep your roof timbers free from damp and rot.
Our own system incorporates a unique feature is that it ventilates the underside of the felt for a major part of the roof system. Other UPVC systems tend to only ventilate the rafter ends and moisture can be trapped further up the rafters, causing damp and rot.
This is particularly important if you have or intend to have a loft conversion as our system can reduce condensation and prevent internal damp.

Since 1991 building regulations state that all Fascias Soffit and Gutter systems must have some form of roof ventilation. As a basic solution to this most Soffit boards are fitted with a ladder or disc type ventilation.
This type of ventilation is prone to clogging and in our opinion is less than ideal and falls far short of what we would consider to be “Low Maintenance”.
